My Favorite Mascara

Like any make-up artist I've also got some favorites. I don't have a all time favorite for all the make-up products but I have to say my mascara and blush are some of the products I daily use for more than a year now.

Today I'm gonna tell you what my favorite mascara is.

My favorite mascara is of course a black mascara, named Lancôme - Hypnose Drama.

The brush is in a S - curve, which lengthens and thickens lashes and it also helps to curl them!

What I love about the product is that it stays on forever. I mean, sometimes when I use a mascara, at the end of the day you don't see much of the mascara left. But with this mascara, even at the end of the day, it stays perfectly on!

What I also like about this product is when you put it on, you've got a subtile smell of roses. I know lot of people don't like perfume in their mascara, but I personally like it.

La vie est Belle - Lancôme

Today I went to Lancôme. They let us discover their new perfume 'La vie est Belle', and also told us about their other new products.

'Tresor' is a star-product of Lancôme. Its one of the best sold perfumes in the world. With La vie est Belle they wanted to created a new star-product. And I really think they did it! Its a perfume a woman wears to feel special and to be noticed. Its a very sweet, but also powdery and flowery perfume. La Vie est Belle smiles happily and she’s eager to make you laugh as well.
The spokesperson & face of this perfume is nobody less than Julia Roberts, the woman with the beautiful smile!

If you like perfumes like Flowerbomb - Viktor & Rolf and Coco Mademoiselle - Chanel, you'll gonna love La vie est Belle for sure!

Year of Mercator - Sint Niklaas

   I'm ready for Mercator tomorrow, my pencils are cleaned and marked and I'm looking forward to go.
The year of Mercator, I'm waiting for it almost a whole year... transforming people into historical figures with great haircuts and men with special beards and mustaches...
And finally seeing my collegues again! =)

Big Change for IMATS London 2013!

We're used to go in January/February to IMATS London. But in 2013 they made big changes and IMATS falls in June now...

I was counting the months to go back to IMATS London, so it don't like to wait much longer now, but I understand their reasons.

The reason why its in June now, is because of the bad weather this year... Snow was falling, and people had to come from everywhere, climbing the mountain with a lot of snow was not easy at all... We also had our luggage with us... so that made it even more difficult to go up... But it was all worth it.
Only the fact that some make-up speakers couldn't make it because of the weather was not nice to hear... but for the rest we had a fantastic day.

And in 2013 IMATS London will be in Central London again and not in Alexandra Palace anymore.

Too bad we have to wait longer now... I'm exciting to read about who's coming to the next IMATS London!

 

 

Coco Bullet - Max Factor

Coco Bullet is the lipstick of Max Factor. I work every saturday for Max Factor and the Coco Bullet is one of my favorite 'To Use' items. Its very easy to use and has a balm in it. It feels very soft for the lips because of the balm.
My favorite color is n° 36 - Pearl Maron, because its a color for a daily wear and it fits everybody.

Coco Bullet is de lippestift van Max Factor. Ik werk iedere zaterdag voor Max Factor and de Coco Bullet zit toch bij mijn favoriete 'To Use' items. Hij is makkelijk in gebruik en heeft daarnaast nog een verzorgende werking. Hij voelt zijdezacht aan en dankzij de verzorging maakt hij ook de lippen weer zacht.
Mijn favoriete kleurtje is de n° 36 - Pearl Marron omdat het een subtiel kleurtje is voor dagdagelijks gebruikt en hij staat iedereen.

To buy or not to buy???

If you prefer the colours I really recommend buying it. They are very good, comfortable and nice to wear. So its a definitely To Buy!

Coming Soon : Max Factor!

As promised I'll do a review on the products of Max Factor. I work for Max Factor from the end of October now, and yesterday I finally found the time to do a huge makeup photography from all the products. Well not all of them, but the ones I got the most questions about.

Zoals beloofd ga ik een review doen over de producten van Max Factor. Ik al werk voor Max Factor vanaf het einde van oktober, en gisteren vond ik eindelijk de tijd om een immense makeup fotoshoot te doen van alle producten. Wel, niet al de producten, maar degene waar ik de meeste vragen over krijg.

A sneakpeak : This is the beautycase of Max Factor. Normally I don't got him at home, but for the 2 years of K Kortrijk I had to take it to the K and take it back to my home. Perfect to take good pictures of the products!

A sneakpeak : Dit is de makeup koffer van Max Factor. Normaal heb ik hem nooit thuis staan, maar voor het evenement 2 jaar K Kortrijk moest ik de koffer meenemen naar de K en daarna terug naar huis. Ideaal om op mijn gemak goeie foto's van de producten te kunnen nemen!

January Sales

Here are the beauty products I bought in the January Sales. Maybe I'm going to buy some more beauty products... I'm thinking of maybe purchasing YSL Touche éclat, but there is only 10% off of it, so I'm still thinking about purchasing it or not, since I wanna spent my money on IMATS.

IMATS London 2012

Countdown to IMATS London 2012... I'm so so sooo exciting!

Its the first time I'm going to IMATS and I'm so curious to see all those things, to listen to all the speakers that are coming, to see all the nice makeup products we don't find in Belgium, maybe to discover new brands, to see all the faces of makeup land! ...

I'm very exciting to see Nick Dudman, the Makeup Artist of the Harry Potter Movies. He's coming to speak and reconstruct one of the Goblins he did for the Harry Potter Movies!
I also wanna see Lan Nguyen her beauty and editorial demonstration, Neil Young's 'A Darker Shade of Beauty' about Gothic Rock Glam Makeup, the pixiwoo sisters and of course the Student Competitions (Beauty / Fantasy on Saturday and Character / Prosthetic on Sunday) I dont wanna miss!

Het is de eerste maal dat ik naar IMATS ga en ik ben zo benieuwd om alles te ontdekken, om te luisteren naar de grote Makeup Artists die komen, om alle leuke makeup producten te zien die we in België niet hebben, misschien nog nieuwe merken te ontdekken, om alle gezichten uit makeup land te zien...!!!

Ik ben vooral heel benieuwd naar Nick Dudman, de grote Makeup Artist van de Harry Potter Films. Hij komt praten en zal één van zijn trolachtige wezentjes reconstrueren op IMATS.
Ik wil zeker ook Lan Nguyen haar beauty & editioriële demonstratie zien, Neil Young's 'een donkerdere tint van schoonheid' rond Gothic Rock Glam Makeup, the pixiwoo zussen en natuurlijk ook de Student Competities (Beauty / Fantasie op zaterdag en Karakter / Prothese Makeup op zondag) wil ik zeker en vast niet missen!

Hunkemöller has her own Beautyline!

Lingerie Brand Hunkemöller has her own Beautyline. Their moto : If you want to be happy you have to feel sexy! And you dont do that with lingerie, but -now- also with their beautyline. They have lots of beauty goodies, from naillpolish to perfume to bodylotion, lipgloss and eyeshadow. Its all very feminine and sexy and you melt if you see the sensual packages I think!
It looks gorgeous and like must haves! I'm curious to try this out! And you?

Make Up Inspiration Book

After ages of thinking to make a Make Up Inspiration Book, I finally took the time and courage to make one! I searched in a lot of magazines, which I kept for years, and so it was a lot of work to search through all those magazines! But I'm ready now... well, in a inspirationbook you are never ready of course... but for now I'm ready and happy with the work I did!

I first wanted to stick everything in a book, but because there were a lot of rectoverso pages, I decided to keep everything in a map.

Here is the result :

L'Occitane

I dont know if you know L'occitane? Its a beautyshop which you can find over the entire world, but has his origins in the south of France (where all the lovely lavendel is growing).
I work there now and am so exciting about it! =)
My work at L' Occitane is great. I love this shop, its so cosy and I love the fact that all the products are natural and some are even biological, with the eco-cert logo. I tried different things out and smelled alot of parfums, and love the fact that I can learn alot about their beauty line!

I gonna upload some reviews of the l'occitane products later on here!
