Moonboots

In this snowy weather, I'm thinking of really buying myself some moonboots. I'm thinking about it for 2 years now, and I'm still in love with them ... so maybe time has come to do it...
But still, I dont know which ones I prefer!

From the originals, I'd would take the black ones.

Then you have the furry ones from Barts Moonboots. I really love them in the black/white ones. But they also have them in brown, which is also nice.

And these are the ones from Marc Jacob. I like them too. But ofcourse they are more expensive and not so easy to find I think.

Which ones should I buy? The black originals or the furry ones?

Handcream

In the winter, hands are more dry, so you need a good handcream to keep them good. This is the first year I really have so much trouble with dryness of my hands. And I really dont like that feeling! So I started to look out for some good handcreams.
I found two very good cremes for the dryness.

1. Handcream of L' Occitane
This is a really good handcream, with karité butter. It give your hands softness and it works immediately!
You can buy it in a small or a big tube. The small ones are very handy to take with you in your purse. The packaging is very beautiful too. Its like a tube of paint.

2. Handcreme of Herome
This one I got already a long time. Its also a very good handcream and it helps immediately.

Self Made Pic

Here is a new selfmade picture of me. Hair & make up are also done by me!
Ooh I love to take selfportraitures if they work out fine! =)

And so I finally have a good, smiling photo to send out for work.

Flair boots

Flair ( Belgian Women Magazine) did an wonderful action! They gave a gift to get boots, like uggs.
I went to the shop and they were all sold out... but the week after they would have them back... so yesterday I went back to the shop, together with my mom. We went early, before the shop opened, because I really wanted them and they were gonna be sold out again in no time. We were the 4rd in row. And after us, there was a huge row of people waiting!
When the shop opened my mom and I took the camel / beige and black ones! They are of the brand Ella.
I tried them and they walk soo comfortable! I love them! <3<3<3

Before this boots I already had some grey ones that I bought in England last year and I almost wore them non stop in winter times. =)

Make Up Inspiration Book

After ages of thinking to make a Make Up Inspiration Book, I finally took the time and courage to make one! I searched in a lot of magazines, which I kept for years, and so it was a lot of work to search through all those magazines! But I'm ready now... well, in a inspirationbook you are never ready of course... but for now I'm ready and happy with the work I did!
I first wanted to stick everything in a book, but because there were a lot of rectoverso pages, I decided to keep everything in a map.

Here is the result :

L'Occitane

I dont know if you know L'occitane? Its a beautyshop which you can find over the entire world, but has his origins in the south of France (where all the lovely lavendel is growing).
I work there now and am so exciting about it! =)
My work at L' Occitane is great. I love this shop, its so cosy and I love the fact that all the products are natural and some are even biological, with the eco-cert logo. I tried different things out and smelled alot of parfums, and love the fact that I can learn alot about their beauty line!

I gonna upload some reviews of the l'occitane products later on here!

For now : Have fun watching their website :

Paris

In August I went to Paris for 5 days... Finally!
I live so nearby Paris, and I never visited it, so I thought I urgently needed to go to Paris!
And so we made plans to go this summer!

We went by Thalys from Lille to Paris. From my hometown to Lille is only 15 min by train, and from there by Thalys to Paris is 1 hour. So very fast we were in Paris.

Our hotel was in the middle of Montmartre. After dropping our luggage in the hotel, we went for a walk in Montmartre and tried to see it all over there, all the nice little streets and the Sacre Coeur. After some couple of hours walking around Montmartre, we took a metro to Arc Du Triumph and walked at the Champs Elysee with lots of nice shops!

The second day we went to the Hotel Des Invalides and then further to the Eiffel Tower. It was amazing! Then we walked to Trocadero, from were we had such a nice view on the Eiffel Tower. Then we walked near the Seine to the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais. From there we walked to Place De La Concorde with the Egyptian (from the Palace of Luxor) Obelisk, to Parque Du Tuillerie, were we stopped at the water to have a look from there to the Arc Du Truimph and the Eiffel Tower. The view was sooo amazing and soo beautiful! I couldnt believe my eyes when I could see the Arc Du Truimph from over there! Amazing! We went further to the Louvre, which is so so huge! I really love the buildings of the Louvre! Beautiful! From there we made a little walk over the bridge to the Ill de la Cite (the little island) and took the Pont Neuf over the island to the other side. From there we took a walk to Des Halles with a new Shoppingcenter, in a very special building I think. We walked to the Eglise Saint Eustache and then took the metro back to the hotel.

The third day we went to Gallerie Lafayette, which is such an amazing shoppingcenter inside! It was like an Opera place inside, with lots of balconny. But in each balconny there were shops. Its so beautiful inside! After that we went to the Opera Garnier, very beautiful outside, but we didnt had the time to visit it inside. Then we walked to the Place Vendome and from there back to Des Halles and further to Centre Pompidou. Because there was some street animation we stopped here to have a look. We walked to the Hotel de Ville, which is also an amazing building, and went further to the beautiful Notre Dame de Paris. Too bad there were too many people who wanted to visit the inside of the Notre Dame. We went to the Place Henry IV to drink something, again a cosy Plaza. Then we went to the Bird Market and from there we took a metro to the Place de la Bastille, where another statue made this place beautiful. Also there was a new Opera building on that place. From there we walked to the Place des Vosges, where the house of Victor Hugo is, were we sit in the parc for a while. Lastly we walked back to the Centre Pompidou to take a metro back to the hotel.

The Fourth day we went to Père Lachaise (because my mom wanted to see it) , where we stayed some hours and visited a lot of graves : Edith Piaf, Alfons Musset, Gilbert Becaud, Theodore Gericault, Honoré De Balzac, Jim Morrisson... And after visiting Père Lachaise we went to The Pantheon, near the Sorbonne (university of Paris) and I really liked this part of the city! The Pantheon and all the buildings around are so impressive! Nearby there's the Parque Luxembourg with a castle and a lake in the middle. At the end of the day, we went to Bateaux Mouche, to take a tour by night on the Seine! For me the most overwhelming things by night are the Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower! Also nice to know is that on certain moments the Eiffel Tower starts to glitter which gave a very nice effect!

Our last day we spent at Mont Martre and bought some presents for my grandparents, my sister and my brother. And I got a T-shirt of Paris for myself!

Singing Lessons

I'm so exciting... cause I follow Singing Lessons! I always wanted to sing, from when I was little (I remember at the age of 5/6, I was all the time singing... there are still some old videotapes of it, hehe!) But my mother didnt want me to sing.
Now, finally, after all those years, I got the chance to sing... and follow this dream of mine!

I got private lessons from a very talented singer from Florida. My first singing lesson went fine, it was all about breath exercises and she tested what I'm able to do with my voice. She said I can reach alot with my voice! =) Tuesday is my second lesson... Excited!

I'm in a band/project now and we're making our first song together... more later about it, when the song can be released. ;)

Portugal

Now a month ago, I went to Portugal for 8 days. Ofcourse I took a lot of pictures... I love making them!
For the first time in my life, I travelled all alone. It was a bit scary to take my plane all alone, but I met some very nice Portugese people who talked about their country and made me wanna go even more! (if thats even possible, I'm a travel lover, you know ;) ) My idea of the Portugese people, which I already founded out on the plane, is that they are very nice and helpfull people!
At Portugal I spent my first two days at Porto, together with my friend Joke, and with Jessica, an English friend of Joke. The ice broke immediately when she said she also studies History of Arts. The first day we visited the whole city : Casa Da Musica, the churches, plaza's, station, ... and ended the day at the Ribeira, which is the most beautiful place of Porto for me. After eating at the ribeira we saw that there was a graduationparty, so we stayed and watched the band Celtiberia (a folkmetal band from there), who also had a fire breathing act. After Celtiberia there were some fado musicians, which is typical Portugese music.
The second day we went to Porto beach and after some hours we had to take our train to Tomar (some 4 hours away by train). In Tomar we went to a supermarket and made pancakes at the apartment.
The 3rd day we took a bus to Batalha, and we passed Fatima on our way. In Batalha there was a very nice Cathedral and in that Cathedral people were dressed in very nice clothes from the Middle Ages and Renaissance... It gave it a dreamy feeling.

On the 4th day Jessica leaved and Joke and I went to Convento Do Christo, at Tomar. We spent 4 hours at the domain of Convento... it was such a beautiful place over there! Even more beautiful than Batalha for me! After our visit we walked back to the apartment and made some dinner : Spaghetti Pesto with fresh Basilico and Mozarella. After dinner I went back to visit the city of Tomar. I also walked to the bullfighting arena... with my thesis going about bullfighting, I just had to see the arena in Tomar! In the evening, after our cosy daily eveningtalks at the balcony, we watched some 'Las Vegas' episodes before sleeping.

At the 5th day we had to get up early, because our train left at 8 am. We're going to visit Lisbon! At 10am we arrived at Lisbon and first went to Belèm to see the Cathedral, Torre and statue. After visiting that side of the city, we took the train back and went to the Vasco Da Gama Shoppingcenter to eat some KFC and then visited the modern side of Lisbon : Parque de Nacion. Over there we saw the 17 km long bridge. At least we visited the old city with the Arc De Triumph look-a-like gate. The old city is full of small streets, which are so lovely to walk through.

The 6th day I took the train all alone, to visit Coïmbra, the University city of Portugal. Also this city has lots of little cosy streets and their University is amazing! I'd love to follow school there, hehe! I think Coïmbra is one of the cities you really have to see when you visit Portugal!

My last day at Tomar, Joke and I went for a walk to a lake on an hour walk from the apartment. Because it was not so sunny that day, we didn't stay too long at the lake. At the evening we made barbecue on the balcony and had one last cosy evening!

The last day I spent 4 hours on the train back to Porto, all alone again. At Porto I first didn't find the Hostel, but after a long search I finally found it! Two girls arrived right after I arrived, so I spent my day together with them. Henar from Madrid and Marissa from the USA. We did the tour I did the first day at Porto and so I spent my last night at Portugal, sitting at the ribeira with 2 nice girls! Again I had an amazing evening! And I love the sunset at the Ribeira, with the Portoboats in front of it! (see the picture below, which is my favorite of all the pics I made!)

Turbie Towel

When I take a shower or bath and wash my hair, I hate it when its wet and its all drupping of on my back. I always used a normal towel to put my hair in it, but that wasn't handy at all.
Last Christmas I got an Turbie Towel from my uncle, and its amazing, easy to use and stays on its place. You can buy it in alot of colors. I have a blue one and a white one. I definately think its a good thing to have at your home.

Watch the pictures to find out how to use it.
