Bodypaint Estetika 2012 Brussels

In Octobre there was a beauty fair in Brussels.
They asked me to help to do a bodypaint! 

It was an amazing experience and I hope to do another bodypaint soon cause I like it so much!
We finished it in 4 hours and worked with 3 people on it, Eline, Isabelle and me.

In oktober was er de Estetika beurs te Brussel.

Ze vroegen of ik wou helpen voor een bodypainting.

Het was echt een superleuke ervaring en ik hoop dat ik snel weer een bodypaint mag doen, want ik vind dit echt zooo plezant!

We hebben 4 uur aan de bodypaint gewerkt, met 3 mensen, Eline, Isabelle and ik.

I did some UV Make-up for a party called Nocturna.
Ik heb gewerkt voor een fuif genaamd Nocturna, en verzorgde er de UV Make-up voor de party-gangers.

I tried the UV Make-up from Kryolan. It looks like their normal facepaint products but when I tried it on, I noticed its more difficult to spread it out even. So you have to try it out before you really work with it. At the end I'm glad with the results! =)

Ik probeerde de UV Make-up van Kryolan. Het ziet eruit zoal hun normale facepaint producten maar wanneer ik het probeerde merkte ik al snel dat het moeilijker is om het mooi gelijk te spreiden. Je moet het echt eens op voorhand uitgeprobeerd hebben alvorens er echt mee aan de slag te gaan!

Al bij al ben ik blij met het eindresultaat! =)

Today I went to Lancôme. They let us discover their new perfume 'La vie est Belle', and also told us about their other new products.

'Tresor' is a star-product of Lancôme. Its one of the best sold perfumes in the world. With La vie est Belle they wanted to created a new star-product. And I really think they did it! Its a perfume a woman wears to feel special and to be noticed. Its a very sweet, but also powdery and flowery perfume. La Vie est Belle smiles happily and she’s eager to make you laugh as well.
The spokesperson & face of this perfume is nobody less than Julia Roberts, the woman with the beautiful smile!

If you like perfumes like Flowerbomb - Viktor & Rolf and Coco Mademoiselle - Chanel, you'll gonna love La vie est Belle for sure!

Year of Mercator - Sint Niklaas

   I'm ready for Mercator tomorrow, my pencils are cleaned and marked and I'm looking forward to go.
The year of Mercator, I'm waiting for it almost a whole year... transforming people into historical figures with great haircuts and men with special beards and mustaches...
And finally seeing my collegues again! =)

Big Change for IMATS London 2013!

We're used to go in January/February to IMATS London. But in 2013 they made big changes and IMATS falls in June now...

I was counting the months to go back to IMATS London, so it don't like to wait much longer now, but I understand their reasons.

The reason why its in June now, is because of the bad weather this year... Snow was falling, and people had to come from everywhere, climbing the mountain with a lot of snow was not easy at all... We also had our luggage with us... so that made it even more difficult to go up... But it was all worth it.
Only the fact that some make-up speakers couldn't make it because of the weather was not nice to hear... but for the rest we had a fantastic day.

And in 2013 IMATS London will be in Central London again and not in Alexandra Palace anymore.

Too bad we have to wait longer now... I'm exciting to read about who's coming to the next IMATS London!

Sint-Jan exhibition - St. Baafs Gent

Mijn werk in de St. Baafskathedraal voor de tijdelijke tentoonstelling 'Sint Jan', zit er op.
Wie de tentoonstelling nog niet heeft gezien: het is zeker en vast een bezoekje waard!

Sint-Jan van curatoren Jan Hoet en Hans Martens opende zijn deuren op 2 juni van dit jaar, en loopt nog tot 29 juli 2012.
Als gids werken voor Sint-Jan is super! Kennis doorgeven aan mensen voor een -bijna- altijd vrolijk publiek... een job met veel voldoening!
Een Kathedraal als werkplaats, men maakt het niet vaak mee als men niet voor de kerk zelf werkt. Koorgezangen van allerlei culturen - zoals onlangs nog een Pools Koor onverwachts zijn intrede deed en wat leidde tot spontane koorgezangen - zijn iets opmerkelijks in een werksfeer... unieke werkervaring gegarandeerd! =)
Mijn persoonlijke hoogtepunten zijn natuurlijk de Borremans, Wim Delvoy en Thierry Decordier (waarbij ik uiterst stil werd bij het betreden van de zijkapel waar Thierry's werk is opgesteld). Ook rond de naam Jan Fabre kan je niet heen... Maar ook Mathieu Ronse mag zich bij dit lijstje vervoegen volgens mij. Zeker zijn Hidden Artpiece vind ik absoluut top! De lijkwade van Jezus zit verscholen in een steen op de grond, boven zijn Velazquez-achtig werk die de hoogte inprijkt.
Naast deze hoogwaardige topwerken zijn uiteraard nog veel boeiende werken te bezichtigen...

Allen daarheen zou ik zeggen - U mist iets als u deze unieke tentoonstelling niet met eigen ogen kan aanschouwen!

Gossip Girl

Season 6 is the last season of Gossip Girl. I've got mixed feelings with this announcement. I'm very exciting to see the new season, but on the other hand, I'm going to miss it so much!
Serena Van Der Woodsen & Blair Waldorf were like the fashion friends of my dreams. They're so inspiring and so great to look at... and after this last season they'll dissapear... of course you can look the seasons over and over again ... but there gonna be no new stories anymore.... =(

Blair & Chuck were always my favorite couple of the entire world! Their is a chemistry around them... a mysterious fairytale... 
Although I like Blair & Dan, there is not such a chemistry around them than with Blair & Chuck...
Always hoping to see Blair & Chuck back together...

 

Chuck is so yummy... He's the bad boy with the good heart...

 The friendship of Serena & Blair is so great... every girls dream to have such good friends... whatever happens, they're still there for each other...

Movement #19 Catwalk

This weekend was the Movement#19 Catwalk for the School of Arts (KASK) at Ghent. I was modeling for master student Griet Mertens, who's work was so good she got the posters with one of her designs.
It was again a very successful weekend and show!
